WILD Moments was created to break this cycle  one child, one book, one story at a time.

My name is Beri Kirsh. In 2017, I walked into a pet shop with no knowledge and bought a parrot on impulse. I was exactly the person I now warn others about.

⚠ A parrot has the intelligence of a 5-year-old child  and lives for decades. This is not a decision for one summer.

I chose not to give up. I made myself a promise:

✓ "I will be the last and forever home for my birds." WILD Moments was born from that promise.

Wild is my cockatoo — and the bird our brand is named after.

⚠ Before he came to me, his wings were cruelly clipped. He still cannot fly to this day. A living testament to what happens when humans try to control nature.

Skippy is my personal tornado. Adopted from a shelter in 2025, found on the street. Curious, chaotic, full of life.

⚠ Book 1: A child sees a video online and buys a parrot  and then learns step by step what the animal truly needs.
✓ Book 2: The child realizes their home isn't suitable  and gives the parrot to a shelter so it can have a better life. Real love sometimes means letting go.

A child who read the second book cried  because the parrot couldn't stay. The mother asked me if that was normal. My answer: That's exactly what these books are meant to do. Real empathy. Real responsibility.
